Over 100 creatives from 20 countries were part of four Amplify cohorts. Each fellow received $500 a month for the duration of the program, fulfilling our goal of creatives getting paid for their time. Many of the creatives have gone on to become successful in their various fields and work at some of the top creative companies in the world.

The Problem

There was a dearth of talent development programs and ecosystems in Africa to address the negative narratives dominating the media. In addition, Africa’s creatives experienced significant difficulty in making a living from their work.

The Solution

Amplify was a creative talent accelerator that served as a talent discovery and creative lab for Africa’s story makers, with a robust curriculum and expert instructors. With full immersion in the continental creative class, we discovered, trained, and unleashed world-class content creators set to elevate the African narrative.
